About Poland
Poland is a republic in Central Europe. Warsaw is the capital and the largest city. About 38 million people live here — one of the largest populations in the European Union. It borders Germany, Czechia, Slovakia, Ukraine, Belarus, Lithuania and Russia’s Kaliningrad region, with a Baltic Sea coast. Polish is the official language. The currency is the złoty (PLN), not the euro.
Poland joined the European Union in 2004 and is in Schengen. It is a major EU manufacturing, logistics and services market, with a large domestic economy and strong links to Germany. English is widely used in business in the larger cities. The legal system is civil law, and company registration is handled through the National Court Register (KRS).
Brikseka forms Polish companies. The usual vehicle is a spółka z ograniczoną odpowiedzialnością (Sp. z o.o.). Minimum share capital is PLN 5,000. Many companies can be filed through the S24 online system; a notarial deed is used when the articles need to go beyond the standard template. No local director is required. Formation can be completed remotely; banking may still ask for a PESEL number or a visit.
We then advise on a business bank account and payment gateways such as Stripe and PayPal. Approvals are decided by the providers. If your aim is to live in Poland, company formation is not a residence permit — that is a separate immigration file, which we also advise on.
