Country overview
About Spain
Spain is a constitutional monarchy in south-western Europe. Madrid is the capital and the largest city. About 48 million people live here. It borders France, Portugal and Andorra, with coasts on the Atlantic and the Mediterranean. Spanish is the official language. The euro is the currency.
Spain joined the European Union in 1986, the euro area in 1999, and is in Schengen. Madrid is a major European business city. The country is a substantial EU market in its own right. A Spanish company sits inside the single market.
Brikseka forms Spanish companies. The usual vehicle is a sociedad limitada (S.L.). A notary is required, and a foreign identification number (NIE) is often part of the file. Company documents can often be prepared remotely; identification, banking, or immigration may still require travel.
We then advise on a business bank account and payment gateways such as Stripe and PayPal. Approvals are decided by the providers. If your aim is to live in Spain, company formation is not a residence permit — that is a separate immigration file, which we also advise on.

We form an S.L. with a Spanish notary, including an NIE where the file requires it, then stay with the file through banking and payments.

How we work
From briefing to a registered company
Briefing
We review your business, the right entity for this country, costs, and whether a visit is likely.
Company formation
Local counsel, notary where required, and the commercial register. We coordinate the documents through to a registered company.
Banking and payments
After the company exists, we prepare applications for a business account and payment gateways.
After incorporation
Statutory records, a named contact, and introductions to accounting so the company can operate.
Also available
Business immigration
Forming a company in Spain does not grant the right to live there. If you intend to relocate, we also advise on Spain business immigration — including Emprendedores (ENISA). Requirements, capital, and processing times are confirmed before any engagement.
